1. Click Start > Setting > Control Panel > Network
  2. Click TCP/IP (choose TCP/IP dial up adapter)

  4. Choose IP Address tab
  5. Choose Obtain an IP address automatically

  8. Fill in your User Name in Host box

  16. Fill in 202.154.1.2 for Primary DNS
  17. Fill in 202.154.3.2 for Secondary DNS
  18. Uncheck Use IP header compression
  19. Check Use default gateway on remote network
  20. Click OK > Click OK
  21. Double Click RADNET icon Dial Up Networking
  22. Fill in your User Name in User Name box
  23. Fill in your login password in Password box
  24. Then Click Connect

First, we must ensure that the proper components are installed

Adding the Components

1. Click on Start button, highlight Settings on the menu, and then select Control Panel

2. Double click the Network icon

If you do not see the Network icon, click the view all Control Panel options link, in the middle-leftmost part of the Control Panel window.

3. Check to see if Client For Microsoft Networks, Dial-Up Adapter and TCP/IP are listed.

If one or more of these items are not listed, you can add them by clicking on the Add button, and following Window’s instructions.

Configuring the Dialer

1. Click on Start button, highlight Settings on the menu, and then select Dial-Up Networking:

2. Double-click on the “Make New Connection” icon.

3. If this is the first time dial-up networking configuration set up on your computer, the wizard starts up with the following screen. Click Next.

4. In the “Type a name for the computer you are dialing:” box, you can change that connection’s name RADNET, for example. Select your modem from the drop-down menu. If you do nothave a modem set up, there will not be a modem to choose; you will need to install one before continuing. Your window should look something like the following, but with your modem selected. Click Next.

5. in the Telephone number field. Enter 3449449 (more dial numbers). Leave Area code blank. Click Next.

6. You will see a window that says “You have successfully created a new Dial-Up Networking connection called:” and displays your connection name you have given in step 6. Click Finish.

7. Now you are back in the Dial-up Networking window, with a new icon called RADNET that you just created, above. You need to edit the properties of your new dial-up connection. Put your mouse over the RADNET icon, use the RIGHT mouse button to click, continue to hold down the button, pull down to Properties and release:

8. Make sure your window looks like the following. Uncheck the NetBEUI and IPX/SPX Compatible checkboxes. Click the TCP/IP Settings… button.

9. Leave the default “Server assigned IP address” selection. Select “Specify name server addresses”, enter 202.154.1.2 for the Primary DNS and 202.154.3.2 for the Secondary DNS. Uncheck the “Use IP header compression” checkbox, and leave the “Use default gateway…” checkbox checked. Click OK.

To connect to the Internet, press the Dial button on the Dial-Up Networking. Enter your user name (userid)and your password. You may choose whether or not to save yourpassword, depending on your preferences. Press OK to start dialing.

Click Start > My Network Place
On the left side, click on View network connections option
On the left side, click on Create a new connection option

Follow the wizard . Click on Next > button

Select the option ‘Connect to the Internet”

Select the option ‘Set up my Connection manually’ and click on Next > button

Select the option ‘Connect using a dial-up modem’ and click on Next >

Type in radnet at ISP Name and click on Next > button

Fill in RadNet dial number (ex. : 25506400 or 5247777), if you call outside Jakarta insert prefix 021 for Area Code

Type in your User name and Login Password

Click on Finish button

The Windows NT 4.0 uses its own version of dialer. The dialer is known as the Remote Access Service Dialer
(RAS Dialer). The following guide assumes that your modem is configured already.

Adding the Components

1. Open Control Panel
2. Go to Network
3. Choose the Service tab, and add the Remote Access Service.

4. Choose the Protocol tab, and add the TCP/IP Protocol

5. Press OK.
6. Restart the system.

Configuring the Dialer

1. Double click My Computer | Dial-Up Networking.
2. Create a new Phone book entry, and name it as “Radnet”.
3. Click on “I know all about phonebook entries and would rather edit the properties directly”.
4. Press Finish.
5. In the new phonebook entry, go to the Basic tab.
6. Select your modem under “Dial Using”. Do not set “Use another Port if busy”.

7. Go to the Server tab. Make sure that the Dial-Up server type
is PPP : Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet.
8. Make sure that only TCP/IP is checked. Unchecked the rest,
do not enable the “Enable PPP LCP extensions”.

9. Go to Security tab, and set the authentication method to “Accept any authentication including clear text”.

10.Press OK to complete the settings.

 

To connect to the Internet, press the Dial button on the Dial-Up Networking. Enter your user name (userid) and your password. You may choose whether or not to save your password, depending on your preferences.
Press OK to start dialing.

  1. Open kppp start up program menu in linux, choose internet, choose kppp.
  2. Then click Setup, in tab Accounts click New.
  3. Fill in RADNET in connection time.
  4. Fill in Phone number with Radnet dial numbers, click here for see our dial-in numbers.
  5. Then click DNS tab, fill in rad.net.id in domain.
  6. For DNS IP address fill in 202.154.1.2 then click Add, fill in 202.154.3.2 click Add again.
  7. Click OK —> click OK once more.
  8. Insert your Username and Password then Click Connect.
  1. Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Connect to a network.
  2. Click on Set up a connection or network.
  3. Select Set up a dialup connection and click Next.
  4. Enter the appropriate information for the ISP you are dialing in to. If BU is your ISP, the basic number is xxx-xxxx-xxxx. However, you’ll want to make sure to use the Dialing Rules to help you get the number set up correctly (formatted as if you were making a regular phone call to 617.) For example, if you have call waiting, the number to dial might look like this: *70 1 617 378 1111 or if you have to dial 9 first, it might look like this: 9, 7190505. If you use a calling card, you’ll also want to enter that information and the Dialing Rules window will help you do that.
  5. You should also enter your BU login name as the User name and Kerberos password as the Password.
  6. You should probably also give the Dial-up Connection a more specific name such as “BU dial-up” (in case there might be others). Then, click on Connect to make sure it works.
  7. Once the connection is successful, you will have an opportunity to save it for future use, which you should do.
  8. Next time you want to connect you then go to Start -> Settings -> Network Connections and launch the dial-up connection.

Click on View. Enter the FTP, Gopher, HTTP and WAIS Proxy with
proxy.rad.net.id, and their ports with 8080. Click on Apply, and proxy
for your Netscape Navigator has been set up.
